Team Meeting Announcement
The LifeSpringsMars science and engineering teams will be meeting on the 5th and 6th of September 2023 at UNSW’s Kensington campus in Australia to share their research and discuss the next steps of the mission.

Dr Masaki Fujimoto, Deputy Director General of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and ISAS will attend, as will Dr Jorge Vago, Head of the European Space Agency’s ExoMars program, and a representative from the Australian Space Agency> This is in addition to delegates from CSIRO, academics from across Australia, New Zealand, and America, and representatives from the Australian Space Industry.

Updated details on the scientific and engineering components of the LifeSpringsMars mission concept will be presented, as will updates of Japan’s and ESA’s Mars programs, the properties and potential biogenicity of digitate opaline silica sinter on both Earth and Mars, different sampling strategies for the LifeSpringsMars mission, and Australia’s capabilities in space.
